Lakeside Paradise No. 2, Waterfront Vacation Home Rental
Come to Lewis Smith Lake and find our what Southern Hospitality is all about. Our home was built in the late seventies and we purchased it in 2003. We have excellent lake access with a gentle slope and a short walk to our two stall boathouse. Swim off our boat house and enjoy the crystal clear water.
Our home has approximately 2600 square feet and sleeps eight in four bedrooms, another two on a sleeper sofa, and another two on a king size futon (8/12). The master bedroom has a large, comfortable king bed; TV and a gorgeous view out the window of the lake. The ceramic tile master bath has a tub as well as a shower. Our second bedroom has a queen and the thrid bedroom has a double. The fourth bedroom down stairs has a double bed. There is also a sleeper sofa that can sleep another two. Our family's children love to roll out a king size futon in the gameroom and camp out down there.
Dine in our beautiful plant filled dining room or in our eat in kitchen. There is a second bathroom, an office, a living room as well as a den. If you prefer restuarant dining we are about fourteen miles from several very nice chain restuarants such as Ruby Tuesdays, Ryan's, Garfields, Jim & Nicks Bar B Q; or choose Chinese food at the Phoenix or the Ling Garden restuarants. Within that fourteen mile radius we have a Super Walmart, and a Winn Dixie. Most all the fast food chains are within that same radius or closer. There are several family run restuarants that have absolutely delicious southern cuisine. Closer in, there are several smaller eateries within seven miles as well as excellent grocery shopping at Gateway Foods in Curry.
Smith Lake is a finger lake with an earthen dam backing water up into the valleys behind the dam. Many of these have high rock cliffs towering above the water. The lake is quite deep in places reaching almost three hundred feet in depth. There are literally dozens of multi million dollar homes many perched high on a bluff overlooking the lake. Unlike these homes where you might have to negotiate over a hundred steps to reach the water, at our home you just have a short stroll down a gentle slope. Our home has the advantage of being about 500 yards off the main channel. This allows you the luxury of quiet waters and affords the ease of a short distance to travel to go for a boat ride. For that, why not rent either our pontoon boat or our ski boat. Have fun!!
